    Engine swap - 2005 2.3 MZR I4 into 2004 3.0 MZI V6 manual

    I have a wrecked 2005 Mazda6 with ~93k miles on it, engine and transmission still work fine. Here's my question: would I be able to swap the engine in mine into a 2004 with a 3.0 MZI V6 and manual transmission? Does the transmission type matter?
