thanks for this info - I've been leaning toward getting it fixed and keeping it going as I've seen other mazdas go over 200K miles and I only have 115K. I'll ask about a clear coat and see what that does to the price. I'm seeing another dealer in a couple of weeks to see if I can get any help...

Mazda 3 Rust? I have considerable rust on my 2004 Mazda 3 - mostly around the rear wheel wells but also around the light on the trunk. Also bubbling in some places. The Mazda dealer looked at the photos and estimate for repair and said it was from the outside, not the inside but I don't see...
