A little off topic but does anybody know if they are going to extend or change the rebates on the msp that end today?

I just got off the tech line (with a hot sounding chick) and she told me that as of last week the policy changed. She said you can go to any dealership and get warranty work done. The problem before was that non ms dealerships couldn't order parts. Well it looks like its time to go get my car!

The thing is that this was from the general manager.

I appreciate everyones comments except for yashooa's. Luckily for him there are several states between us. Gotta love the Internet where people can talk mess while hiding behind there computer.

Are you freakin serious? Well now I am just plain pissed! I guess I will call my local dealership and confirm this.

They specifically told me that if I did not go to a MS dealership that I would have to pay out of my pocket. They said that those dealerships do not get reimbursed from Mazda on any warranty work done to the car.

I also wanted to mention one more thing and then I will do my best to shut up. I could smell the antifreeze when I was test driving the car and thought maybe it was a sign.

My decision was based purely on the distance between me and the dealer. One reason I want a new car is the warranty and I want to be able to use it for my convenience. I am not worried about the reliabilty of the car I just felt that I should be able to take it to the Mazda dealership 5...

I was so close tonight to buying a Titanium grey but I just couldn't do it. My problem was that the closest MazdaSpeed dealer is minimum a hour and a half away. After reading about all the "little" problems this car has it made me decide not to do it. I just didn't want to drive that distance...

I don't own a mazda (just trollin thinking about an msp) but I am from Northern Idaho and it is definitely god's country. Unfortunately I am in Cali now but some day I will be back. And yes it will be a 86 Chevy 4X4 on 38's.

You make an excellent point. Does anybody know what the "extra" warrany costs and details about it?

Isn't it just a scaled down version of the Maxima with the same great engine. A stock Maxima and a great driver can hit around a 14.5.

I am seriously considering purchasing an MSP within the next couple weeks if I can get a hell of a deal. I can deal with the problems if my local Mazda shop treats me well. I guess I am worried about the repair costs on this car after the warranty is up. My 99 Accord never gives me any...
