Not sure where on here to post a question about the Millenia S, but since a few people on the 5 forum really seem to know all MAZDA, I will will post here and ask for forgiveness. (I do have a 5) I gave my niece a 99 Millenia S and the thing has been taken care of in every way, parts replaced...

I have noticed that in the 08 Mazda5 when using the vehicle itself with any bluetooth phone, the sound is rough. I know the mic is located in the vent (which is extremely odd) and that turning down the AC or heat is recommended, but even with them both off, the quality isn't really there...

I don't think I have noticed it with my 08, but think it's safe to say your 08 is raccoon haunted. The only good thing that might come out of it, is if your kids are messy and drop alot of crumbs and food....it will vanish...

K&N Vs Injen cai... Since they basically do the same thing and probably perform identical, doesn't it then come down to the filter and how you have to clean or replace it? I know the K&N needs to be cleaned and lasts a trillion years... but what about the Injen?

You said it might have been in an front end collision? Are you just saying that because of the light blinking or are there other clues that are pointing you in that direction? If just the light..... Then shouldn't you be able to bring it into a dealership and say, "my 2006 with 15K miles has...

My real conern would be that it might not work when you needed it. I'd try another place to see what they think. The dealership also thinks replacing the entire engine because of a check engine light is a possible step...(exaggeration).

With your K&N, did you or do you notice any real improvement, (gas, performance, sound)? Also with looking at CAI's for the 08, should anything that would of fit a 07, also fit the 08?

I think the dash mat look is not a good one. Almost like having a plastic cover on a couch. I think as long as your taking care of the dash with some sort of spray protectant, it should be fine. Like the other person said, a good sunshade is also helpful.
