ok, are the JIS rebuild kits any good? Do I need to go back standard, undersized or oversized?

no, they were not scorched, but I found the problem, main bearings were totally shot and looked like someone took a grinder to them. Do I have to pull the engine completely out of the vehicle to change the main bearings?
