I got my Phantom Electric Supercharger in the mail yesterday and before I installed it into my Miata did a quick overview of the Mazda2 Engine bay. It looks like there is plenty of room in here for the supercharger. It looks like a strong candidate. I've emailed phantom to find out the cost...
So I have one of these on the way for my Miata... depending on how well it does I may just try and source the supercharger and electronics for my 2... this could be a nice FI option for those who dont want the full FI enchilada....

So here is the miata.net thread... please delete if this is breaking any rules. The 2K number is for the Miata Kit, the FRS Kit is 1650, so I think it depends on if the intake can be reused...
So this is not the jicky ebay $40 "supercharger", but a turbo compressor run by an electric motor. On the Miata application it makes 5psi tapering to 3psi and adds 50ft/50hp. Cost is about 2K + tune. Because it is low boost, there is no need to intercool.

Tell me about it. It was from a US junk yard so usdm I would assume. I was really bummed that the air bag was different as I would have kept the leather wheel on even with dead controls as its just a nicer wheel....
Well I got the touring steering wheel today. Observations:
1.) It must take more then just the wheel for the cruise to work because it doesn't work with just the wheel.
2.) The airbags are different between the sport and the touring, so if you try the swap get both the steering wheel and air...
Cool! I should get the steering Wheel tomorrow, it would be good to know if I need more parts. All I really care about working is the cc and stereo controls, not worried about the menu stuff...
