    Both truck engines, the FE and the F2 use the same 8 valve head. They interchange. In your friends case, they are both B2200 - hydraulic lash adjusters, exactly the same. JT

    I have a B2200, but I've never done a V8 swap in these trucks. From what I read, the 302 is much easier to fit because dizzy is in front, and the mounts require only minor slotting of holes.     I Need Help!!!

    The B2200 has the "F2" 2.2 liter engine. The only other direct swap in is the "FE" 2.0 engine from the B2000. Some cars had the F2 block, and bolt to the b2200 mounts, but used a different head, set up for transverse mounting, not an easy swap. JT
