C'mon guys, do the 2nd and 3rd gen mirrors fit on a 1st gen? Do they have heated mirrors? What cars have the painted ones?

Its a 98, and well, it a mercury. I know the 1gen is a direct fit, even the connector. I'm trying to find out what fits a 1gen protege, because that too will fit. I'm just trying to get fancy. As for the pain to install, I carved the internals for a manual civic mirror out of wood. Worked...

I'm trying to buy a set of power protege mirrors. does anybody know if heat was an option? What trim package determined whether they are painted or plain black? If anybody has a set they'ed like to sell let me know, with a price including shipping to WV. I can use paypay or check. Thank you much!
