I put my new wheels on my MS3 and notice the car pull slighty to the left now.
Does a wider rim with lower offset than stock affect the alignment of the car and cause it to pull to the left? If yes, why?
The shop where I got my rims told me to do a alignment but I just don't understand why...
It should fit!
So far I have been driving this set up for 2 days now, and I tried hard to get them to rub including hard corners until traction control kicks in, speed bumps, pot holes etc and it just doesn't rub.
I also think it would look better if it's lowered for a inch
But I pay extra for Mazdaspeed suspension, so I don't want to mess with it and it still looks ok now IMO
I got my car last Nov and have been reading the forum for a while.
Finally put some wheels on, and for those who say 8.5 rim with 30 sth offset won't fit our car you are WRONG!
These are Sportmax 962 18X7.5 +38 in front and 18X8.5 +35 in rear with 225/40/18 Kumho MX all arround.
It did rub in...
2850 miles on mine. The only problem I have is there is a click sound when shifting fast, it went away if I shift slowly. Don't know if it's normal, but great car so far. Need better tires, they are just spinning on 1st and 2nd gear.
