Bump, just as an FYI. Was able to replace the headlight without removing bumper. Only had to remove fasteners that hold grill and bumper cover to the radiator crossmember. This gave me enough play to move bumper cover forward enough to access the one bolt that was behind the cover.

Seriously. XD I'm in the Valley, as well. BTW... I see you have an 02 Protege. I need to replace Rt. side headlight on a 00 Protege. Have to take off bumper cover to get at it, right? Any tips on how to? Thanks.

Need to replace Rt. side headlight and it looks like I have to remove bumper cover. Searched forum without success. Anyone have tips on best way to do this? Also, if anyone knows where I can download the FSM, I would appreciate this, as well.
