    My tire Discounters battle

That sucks. He was right about your valve caps causing the breakage, though. This is VERY common. The factory puts the silver PLASTIC caps on there for a reason. They should have told you what happened, however. In the future, use only plastic caps with the very fragile TPMS units and/or...

    slight grind going into 3rd?

You replace the synchro. Each time this happens, you are doing more damage to the synchro. If this has been happening alot, you've likely done enough damage to it to require replacement. It's only going to get worse, unfortunately. As to the original cause, it's difficult to shift this...

Problem: New tires; now pulling right and more torque steer

"Non-existent?" Really? The MS3 is notorious for moderate torque steer! Some tires will be worse than others on this vehicle. My winter tires have MUCH more torque steer than the OE Bridgestones, but they are a softer, pure winter tires in a 215/50R17 size. My brother had a severe pull...

    Softer ride?

If you are concerned with ride quality on bad roads, you should forget about lowering springs. You can't reduce suspension travel and get a softer ride. Your best option is to go with 17" wheels and some 50 series tires. If you go with an all season type "touring" tire, you will likely get...

    Tire pressure light prob.

You can't tell if your tires are a little underinflated by looking at them. Get a good tire gauge and check all four tires. Inflate to the recommended placard pressures. Besides alerting when the tires go below a certain threshold, the TPMS system will alert if there is a large enough...

    Octane levels

Keep some octane boost in the car if you are worried about not being able to find 91 or higher octane. It's cheaper than an engine rebuild!

    Octane levels

The risk is detonation and damaged piston ring lands. Very bad. High octane fuel burns slower. It's easier for low octane fuel to explode (instead of burn) with high compression engines, or forced induction engines. Edit: Here's a good link with a more detailed explanation...

Please help me decide: Which winter tires to buy

Check out the Cooper Weathermaster S/T2s. Excellent snow tire and studable if you need it. I've used them on all of my Winter vehicles for the last 6 seasons.

    Jack Points

You can purchase pinch weld adapters for your hydraulic floor jacks so that you don't bend up the thin metal. They are cheap and work quite nicely. http://www.autobodytoolmart.com/pc-12467-506-1505-pinchweld-jack-adapter.aspx There isn't a good, safe, central point on this car (front or rear)...

    Winter Setup Question

If you haven't already purchased your winter tires, I would recommend going with a 215 or 205 width. Narrow is better for winter.
