Thanks. The Mazda dealer was able to make the text work. Not sure what the deal was but the tech thought it was I had too many messages (mostly twitter feeds). You are right, it doesn't work with email per the Mazda site. Thanks again. Jeff

My phone and car app paired with no issues. Downloaded the phonebook and I can get and receive calls using the car communication system. I get notices that messages are available for download to the car and when I say "download" it just spins for a while and then errors out. Says it cannot...
