That'd make sense. The eco function is probably where they get that extra 1mpg on the 2016 model.

Good points, I popped your pic into my post to compare them. I can't imagine that little tiny armrest is as comfortable as a full size one, but would be happy to hear otherwise. That said, the interior is a big improvement, so I can't be too disappointed.

I think they chopped a piece out of the armrest to have double cup holders. New: Old (US spec updated): Old (euro update with joystick and only one cup holder):
