(shocked) Wow! What a bunch of Aholes you're dealing with!!! The fuller cap was a recall I got 2 months after I bought my CX-7! The Turbo was probably blown from the start and not fixing it screwed the rest up.You should contact Mazda of America and complain. (Yah, maybe it is a BS story but...

WWNYCX7, any more smoke? My car has been fine since the replaced turbo. Only thing I don't like is that it doesn't kick in when the temp. is below 15 or so. Never know and go to pass and nothing. But that's normal...BTW, it smoked bad only the one time when it blew the seals and never again...

Door jam say 8/06? (or around there) It's the seals....

Finally got my CX7 back today! 9 days at the dealer. Replaced cat. converter also. Date is 8/06 on doorjam.

Just read another post. Bought my car the same time as this person, Nov.2006. That's the time period when the "bad batch of seals" were used. (See "bad smoke" by RCLLKL)

Yep, see my post "blown turbo". Sounds familiar...Bad batch of seals in models built August 2006. My CX has been at the dealer 1 week now waiting for the new turbo to be shipped. Noticed big cloud of smoke just after starting up. Wasn't white either! Then smelt burning oil even from the inside...

Have to look...Why?

Haven't done anything to the car. No mods. and I wouldn't if I was you. The warranty is replacing the whole unit. Probably going see alot more of this...:'(:'(

Replacement Dealership told me today car would be done tomorrow. Putting in a whole new turbo. Asked them about the cool down before shut off and nobody knew anything about it. I'm guessing that was a factor? Had driven 40 miles to work at, well fast...

Just found out my 2007 CX7 with only 10,000 miles with be at the dealer for "a while" Noticed a cloud of dark smoke and smelt burning oil last week after starting it. Seems the seal on the turbo. went and got sucked into the cat. converter and that has to be replaced also. Was wondering if...
