What's your RPM at 60 MPH in the CX-90?

The RPM for 60mph is different between the MHEV and PHEV. The PHEV revs higher due to having a smaller engine with less torque.

    CX-90 (H3T) Transmission Assembly Redesign

This change is driven from a manufacturing process and should not have any impact to how the transmission functions. If you're having an issue with a particular gear (shifting into 6th), it would be something distinct to that gear. Have the dealer look at it and make sure all recalls as well...

Experience Running CX-90 Turbo S With US 87 Octane?

Been driving a 2024 turbo S for a few months now. Have done half my driving using Shell 87 octane and the other half Shell 93 Octane. I really cannot tell any difference in fuel economy or in smoothness between 87 and 93 Octane. Mind you it's winter with cold temps and snow, so it's hard to...

    Alarm randomly going off

I have been dealing with the same issue for a couple of years now. Taking it to the dealer resulted in nothing. Has anyone been able to fix this issue? LifeisaCabernet: I take you had your alarm removed by an independent mechanic. Did removing it impact any other aspect of your vehicle...

2017~2025 Brake squeal under moderately hard braking and while maneuvering around inclines

Try braking from 60 to zero 6 or seven times in a row to try and bed the rotors and pads. Do this somewhere safe. If they are still squeaking take it to the dealer to make sure pads are installed properly. As for your ABS kicking in, get better tires which have more grip.

How much mileage do you have on you vehicle? Have you noticed a brightness drop in your lights?

10 Year Extended Warranty & Alarm; how much do you pay?

Keep one thing in mind, these companies are out to make money. So if you buy a package, don't expect yourself to come out ahead. Your odds are worse than going to Vegas.

    Spied: 2017 Mazda CX-9

I am not sold on the 4 cylinder turbo for such a large heavy vehicle (yes I know you get a lot of torque down low). V6 engines are lot smoother and the 3.7 was a competent engine. Another thing to consider is that the turbo 4 on the CX-9 will produce 250hp on 93 octane and only 227 on regular...

Anyone Relpace OEM Tires with Dueler 422 Ecopias?

I have noticed about a 7% gain in fuel economy using the 422 ecopedias versus the factory tires on my 2008 GT AWD. This gain in fuel economy is seen with 90% freeway driving at an average speed of 70mph

Mazda CX-9 and Mazda's financial problems

In the bigger picture, many Japanese multinationals have been taking a hit whether it's companies such as Mazda in the auto sector to heavy weights in others sectors such as Sony and Panasonic. In the big picture, we must look at the brand itself (how is it seen in the automotive landscape)...

    Can I use 5w-30 instead?

The first number indicates the oils ability to flow when cold. The lower the number the better it flows in cold temps (during start up). Living in Florida, there really is not need to worry about that, even a 10W will be great. In fact when the summer months come, I'd use 20W50 or 10W40. The...

    Can I use 5w-30 instead?

I use Mobil 1 0W40......After having is as my factory fill on my GT-R and running the car hard on the track with 10,000km oil change intervals and seeing no significant concerns via oil analysis, I figured if its good after taking such a beating, it will do well in a daily driven CX-9. I've...

    Winter Tires For 20' GT

Did you end up getting any winters? What part of Canada are you in? I live in the GTA and drove down to Port Huron Michigan and bought a set of 18" Enkei rims and Dunlop Grandsports which are H rated and paid around $1650 out the door including TPMS. I could have gotten a better deal if I had...

    Winter wheels/tires

I have to say, I'm quite surprised with how well my CX-9 with 20" performed in the snow. I'll be getting snow tires for it, but am not in a rush as its performing well as is (mind you the tires have less than 5000 mi 8000 Km). Getting out of my driveway which was not cleared was no...

    Synthetic Oil in 3.5L V6

I swear by synthetics! I used Mobil 1 on my 2003 Toyota Matrix XRS and after 92,000 miles (thats when I traded it in for an '08 CX-9 GT) I still never burned any oil. All my oil changes were done at 8000 Km (5000 miles) and I never added any additives nor did I ever have to top up any oil. My...
