Thanks for that. The Primacy A/S, Defender 2 and PS4AS arent too different price wise, all between $250 and $263 per tire.
You are referring to the Primacy A/S not the Primacy Tour A/S right? If so, I know you say the Primacy A/S will get the best mileage of the ones we are discussing, how does...
Oh Dang, I was gonna ask about MPG. I took a trip to Daytona this weekend, twice. So in about 300 miles of highway driving, I got 27.1mpg with the defender 2. I would normally get 30-31 mpg on the stock Toyos. Is that much drop in MPG normal?
I was hoping the PS4AS would give good MPG too, but...
Dang, thanks for that very valuable information. I dont think I could have gotten better first hand recommendations anywhere else. I mean who h as multiple CX-5s with the exact 19" tires Im looking for?
Did you swap out the stock Toyo A36 right away or did you drive them awhile? How close to...
I have really been looking at those. Have you gone from the Toyo A36 to the Michelin Pilot Sport All Season 4 tires? Just wanting a comparison, as what I like is apparently different to what others like. I guess I like that stiff ride vs the squishy ride of the Defender 2s, and I'm pretty sure...
We made it thru ok. Hope the huskers show up and beat the Hoosiers on Saturday. I will be up in Daytona for Biketoberfest so will have to watch the game on DVR. I can't believe I even have to "hope" to beat Indiana in football, but that is where we are now.
Load index? Or load range? The numbers on the Defender 2s are higher: 103 XL vs the Toyo A36: 99 SL, so that would lead me to believe the side walls are firmer/stiffer on the Defender 2's right? But they feel squishier.
Im with you. I just replaced my stock Toyo A36 19" tires as they were getting low and I got a huge screw in one of them. I chose the Michelin defender 2 tires. While I asm sure they are a fine tire for most apparently, they feel squishy compared to the stiff/performance feel of the Toyo's.
I...
I have been looking at those, but the problem is, there is no rating for what I want which is apparently the stiff sidewall that will give me that tighter feeling vs the softer touring feeling.
These are the tires I had up, I didnt really consider the cross climates as I dont need snow...
I had to update my profile. I forgot I was on here with my first CX-5. I leased in 2016, turned it in and got another CX-5 lease in 2019, and turned that in for a 2022 CX-5 lease. I've made the choice to buy this one out. I already do the oil and filters, just curious if I need to change other...
I have been changing my oil every 7500 miles but thats about it. When I made the decision to buy out the lease, I put new tires on it.
What else will I need to be aware of as far as maintenance? I have 37k miles on it.
Ok yall, I have a 22 CX-5 Premium with 19" wheels. My OEM Toyos felt great, although were getting a bit noisy. They still had some tread left at 36k miles but I got a huge screw in them so I figured I might as well replace all 4. After some research, I bought Michelin Defender 2 tires, as I live...
