I think engine braking is generally more efficient than freewheeling. Fuel injection is stopped during engine braking but not when the engine is freewheeling.

Ok. I didn't try it myself but read somewhere that tcs/esp turns on automatically if a certain speed is reached, I think it was above 30 km/h. So what's your impression of the diesel and the automatic transmission? :-)

I testdrove the petrol manual stifter on friday. Pretty good, but am awaiting Inodes diesel report as the diesel will not be available in Sweden until May. Btw, Is it possible to completely turn off traction control?
