    I'm not an expert, but I thought only way a bad cap would lose coolant is by boiling over (without pressure boiling point is lower), but you said it didn't overheat. I'm not sure a bad water pump necessarily does leak a lot, but I agree that it might. I really can't see any leak evidence...

    Rear Suspension Suggestions for 2003 P5?

    I'm replacing rear struts and swaybar bushings. on my 2003 P5 with 102K miles. Any suggestions would be appreciated on what else to do while I'm under there. I'm using OEM Monroe struts (no budget nor need for upgrades). Looks like swaybar links are either 6.3 in. for sport suspension or 7.5...

    100K MP5 Club

    I'm at 102K on my 2003 P5, and am redoing the rear suspension (any suggestions on what to replace in addition to struts and swaybar bushings?). I did front suspension and clutch last year. I'm in for the 200K club!

    My Protege5 needs some work! What do you suggest?

    Hey Jay, I have an 03 P5. There was a recall on mine about screws working loose, I think on the shutter valve, that could end up trashing the engine. Might want to ask the dealer. I'm replacing rear struts and am going to post for advice on what else to replace.

    Any updates on this topic? I'm pulling my trans this weekend and plan on using a piece of dowel. Actually two pieces, cause there is a vertical shaft between the left and right spline gears...
