I found my car through word of mouth as I didn't have the Protege on my short list before. But I was wondering if there was ever a Protege TV commercial? The only zoom-zoom commercials I remember are for the Mazda6, RX-8, the MPV and the Tribute. Maybe the 626. But the Protege?

FYI - I just checked with Mazdastuff and the list price is $3000 each for RX-8 seats! (screwy) I'm going to look at 3rd party seats but I'd like to upgrade the interior to better seats. I think if you just leather over the ES seats, they might get even more slippery - anyone else have ES/P5...

Does anyone know if the RX8 seats are a simple swap? I could always look at recyclers.... Has anyone done the Katzkin Sports seats?

Are the leather P5 seats any better bolstered than the ES seats? I was looking into getting Katzkin leather on my stock ES seats but they're not particularly deeply bolstered. If anyone has any suggestions about seat replacements (not racing seats, but deeper thigh and side bolsters), please...

Thanks - I saw that lip and didn't really like it. I'll wait for later to get the big P5/MSP type of fog lamps. Strange though - I was leafing through Cardomain and in some countries - Australia, Singapore to mention a couple - the Protege sedan comes with the same P5 nose.

I've had my 2002.5 Protege ES for 2 months now and I'm enjoying it very much. I just got out of a lease on a BMW 328 and I'm impressed at how the Protege satisfies my driving fun. And my car payments are half of my lease payments! Actually my Protege payment is about the same as what I was...
