I haven't done anything with the 2.0L FS-DE motors, but I can do anything! 500 h.p. is very doable for a street car. There are Honda 1.8L out there making over 600 on the street. The weak link is the drivetrain. There aren't alot of people making stuff for Mazda, yet!

Actually, we are using a Fortin transmission from off-road. http://www.fortinracing.com/transaxles.html We turned the motor to a longitudal postition in the chassis to acquire better weight over the drive axle. We have used this trans for 2 years and have had to do minimal maintenance on it!
