My car seems to start after being plugged in for 2hrs. So I guess it works. Not really sure if I want to try w/o plugging it in and seeing the results :)

Haven't opened the hood yet, but guessing the battery box is just big enough to fit the battery only. Enough room or can somehow safely mount the charger on top of the battery and be able to close the lid? Then just drill a big hole in the top of the lid for the extension cord? That's all...

Ya, the dealerships add them by default. This is nothing, can easily get down to -45 C (without the windchill).

How did they fit in your car (aka how much trimming?) I assume your talking about the mazda3 for atleast oneof them? Weather here in Canada can be really bad in the winter. The spring is really slushly and lots of salt and sand from the roads to track into the car (so far not this year)...

Thinking about the weathertech ones, but wondering if it's worth saving a few dollars and getting the official instead? The official ones seem to look and feel pretty cheap (quality wise). But obviously they would fit perfectly in my mazda3.
