    Koni Inserts Build Thread

Ack...those tabs are supposed to be there. They are designed to compress a bit when the strut is pulled into the strut body. They are there so the insert is a "compression fit" to the new donor strut body. To follow up with livelyjay regarding availability...yeah, itll be pretty hard to find...

    HotBits--anyone have experience/feedback

To fill in some of the blanks.... The camber plates themselves are castor adjustable. I had a set of cuscos as well and while they were camber adjustable they centered the struts and gave LESS castor than was available with the stock upper mounts. I wanted to move the plates as far back as...

< cough >jasonrhodesinanissan< cough > ;) Yeah....getting to you too eh? Keep fighting the good fight. Sometimes, despite common sense telling us better, you have to find out just how far you can go (in this case, with the "wrong" chassis"). Ive seen your posts here and on other sites and it...

    HotBits--anyone have experience/feedback

Not trying to convince you one way or the other, but Im just throwing this out there to consider...... I figured AST wasnt going to be cheaper than Hotbits. Itll be a custom to custom comparison since AST can make custom applications(I assume in any flavor you would like up to the s00per pimpy...

    HotBits--anyone have experience/feedback

Im way out here in la-la land so take this for what its worth... Hotbits are for real. Very popular in rallycross in europe. That said the quality of the products like this dont seem to be the issue, its the distance. Best example is the subaru guys, for a while the hot thing was to go with...

Torsen is the trade name. Think its a registered trademark of Zexel(???). Kind like "band-aid", "vaseline", "q-tip", etc, have become the de-facto name for a particular product. Gavin

Inspector24 is also running an OPM diff. For his transmission (G-type) it was Quaife @$1300 or Phantom Slip. The OPM was an excellent alternative. The road racers love the OPM and other clutch diffs because there is always some percentage of drive to either wheel when you bump a curb and go two...

Yeah, I heard that. Its been a long gestation period for the Mfactory diff and a diff is kind of a necessity for you. Get another MSP diff to tide you over? Its something at least. Gavin

You know youd think the G-type trans was made if thin crystal from the talk of it. Its a production gearbox built for a commuter vehicle, its sturdy, simple and functional, but its no surprise its not suited for a gazillion hp or whatever. At 120hp/110ft/lbs(?), Justin should be fine....even...
