    Brakes squeaking at 8500 miles.

From the Googling I've done, it seems like just replacing the pads with a different friction material might or might not work. Seems like greasing the caliper in all the right places and the back of the pads is the more reliable fix.

    Brakes squeaking at 8500 miles.

I had a 1998 RAV4 that developed squealing brakes after I put a few thousand km on it and they squealed until the day it got totaled in the Calgary flood of 2013 (with only 110,000 km...I don't drive much). For me it's too much of a coincidence that the brakes were fine until after I took it in...

    Brakes squeaking at 8500 miles.

Annual Service Causes Brake Squealing Problem So, I just took my 2014 CX-5 in for its first annual maintenance (only has 4,000 km...don't drive it much). Everything was fine until after it was serviced. Now the brakes squeal. They greased the brake calipers so I'm wondering if they've...

    Brakes squeaking at 8500 miles.

Mine started squealing about a week ago. Less than 2,000 km on my 2014 CX-5. Only happens sometimes when very lightly applying the brakes and almost stationary. Might be weather related, it's been very cold the last week or so (i.e., -20 to -40 C with windchill).

    Hood and Mirror Vibration

Is Mazda Playing Games? Almost feels like Mazda is jacking its CX-5 customers around. Not a good way to build a reputation for quality or integrity. Worse yet, it's the sort of behaviour you would have expected from Detroit decades ago.

    Hood and Mirror Vibration

Covering Tracks That could be but it could also be that the dealer knew of the defect beforehand and didn't want to admit it so they copped out by saying the TSB was recent (i.e., February 13). You might want to ask them for the TSB number.

    Hood and Mirror Vibration

Good Enough For Now Took the CX-5 out for a spin today (February 17) now that both the mirror and hood have been fixed according to the relevant TSBs. At about 105 km/h, I can see a bit of mirror vibration which doesn't seem to get much worse as I go faster (up to around 120 km/h). Also...

    Hood and Mirror Vibration

I did not show them the Euro TSB. I didn't see the Euro TSB until after they told me there's a TSB for the mirror and they replaced parts of it. I didn't ask if they replaced the whole unit but it doesn't look like they did. I seem to recall that one of the fixes for the 2013s was to replace...

    Hood and Mirror Vibration

Close Enough Took the CX-5 out for a road test today. Up to about 105 km/h, the mirror shaking is pretty much absent. Above that speed (up to 120 km/h), I can see the mirror shaking a little but not enough to blur the image of what's behind me. Not sure how the mirror will react at higher...

    Hood and Mirror Vibration

Not quite there yet Haven't road tested the mirror yet because the mechanic didn't install it properly. Can't tell if the whole mirror assembly was replaced or just parts of it. Power adjustor not working properly and mirror glass base plate is loose so there's no point road testing until the...

Considering a CX-5 as my first Mazda. Worth waiting til 2015 model?

After re-reading the service order, the language indicates that the entire mirror assembly was replaced. The price tag, CDN$711.29, for the part also suggests that the entire mirror assembly was replaced. If that's the case, I won't be surprised if the problem has not been fixed.

    Hood and Mirror Vibration

That A-pillar noise problem might be caused by the telescoping steering lever rubbing against the steering column. At least, that was the cause of a buzzing sound that seemed to be coming either from the A-pillar area or from in front of the driver in my CX-5. Stangely, the buzzing sound...

CX-5 Mirror Vibraion TSB (Europe 2013) So here is a TSB that you can point them to.

Considering a CX-5 as my first Mazda. Worth waiting til 2015 model?

The service order doesn't state the TSB number for the hood vibration. Just says parts have been ordered. I'll ask when the parts (likely glue) arrives. BTW, the cost to Mazda to fix the mirror was CDN$904.97. So, if you have this problem, don't let the warranty expire before you get it...

Considering a CX-5 as my first Mazda. Worth waiting til 2015 model?

There's Hope! According to my dealer, there are now TSBs for the mirror and hood vibration problems in the 2014 CX-5s. They replaced parts of my mirror yesterday (I don't think they replaced the whole mirror assembly) and ordered parts (I'm guessing epoxy, like the 2013 model TSB specifies) for...
