If your throwing a CEL with too lean of conditions have you ever thought that the problem was your fuel pump? They had an issue with some earlier '07 speed 3's and actually changed the fuel pump design, although your car is an 08.5 this might not be the case. But the ECU would definitely turn...

If you plan on upgrading the turbo at some point, get a 3" inlet. If not, go with the cheaper PG option.

forge v2 or synchronic? I was leaning toward the Forge v2. If the original forge design really did leak past 14 psi, anyone know if the new one does?

I just had a new tubo put on under warranty due to this problem. What really exacerbated the problem was turning on the AC, then it would blow tons of smoke even when just idling. Otherwise it was not smoking a whole lot but still had blown turbo seals.

Installed the SU motor mount and TWM short shifter and bushings. Huge improvement, other than that its stock. Next mod up, CAI. '07 Mazdaspeed 3 GT; True red Will get a pic with the sick winter rims when it gets colder out.

Also looking for one here, those things sell like hot cakes (whatever those are).
