@kw_da: I read multiple posts (mentioned by Typhoonk123456 as well) about users here succesfully adding CC to their M5 which came without it.
Here in the Netherlands CC was optional on the 1.8 M5's and not standard.
DSC = Dynamic Stability Control which basically is traction control. As far as...
In the meantime I figured out that in my 2006 M5 the DSC lights are on the spots where the Cruise Control lights are supposed to be. On a Cruise Control equiped car the DSC lights are on a different location.
I reckon this means my car doesn't have the CC pre programmed so I decided to cancel...
In addition to my question about the part number: Can someone tell me where the cruise control indicators on the dashboard are located? If I run test mode 26 all dashboard indicators light up, but I don't see any cruise control indicators. ("Cruise main" and "Cruise")
Does this perhaps mean...
Been looking into adding cruise control to my 2006 mazda 5, but the only part number I could find for the buttons is:
BN8P-66-4M0
This turns out to be the Mazda 3 part numer which has red illumination instead of green.
Does anyone have the Mazda 5 original part number?
Looking at the car's wiring diagram I think the easiest way to connect the reverse camera is by connecting it's power to one of the back up lights (eventhough the camera preferably needs to be mounted in the tail gate and the backup lights are in the side units) . Removing the glove compartment...

What would be the best spot to pick up the back up light signal (to activate the unit's back up camera) and parking brake signal.
In the workshop manual wiring diagram I found that 2 of the navigation unit connectors...
In the meantime I found a workshop manual.
Someone edited this manual and marked a lot of parts in red or crossed them out. I reckon this was done because these parts did not relate to his or her car. But still it was a great help figuring out the exact audio connector pinout.
Regarding the...
Mazda 5 - 2006 multiple (head unit) questions
I bought myself a DVD/NAV Windows CE head unit and 2 din (178x100mm) dash frame for my 2006 Mazda 5.
I'm working on a wiring harness for it. For this I bought a fully wired Mazda connector and some ISO connectors (to make it usable on other units...
Tried new batteries in the keys, but the car still does the same thing with both keys: 3 blinks with the indictor lights when pressing the panic button for a second or more.
Think it's best to contact a dealer or Mazda about this to ask if they can tell me what's going on.
