    Clunk Updates

All I know is after taking my MP3 over a dozen times to the dealership I bought it from, they replaced my bushings last year in February with the newest "E" revision and it hasn't clunked yet. Sorry, but I don't know the exact part number, but I do remember there was an "E" on the part number...

    E-brake issues

The caliper is definitely not leaking, and the cable is not slipping either, every time I have to trn that piece with the alan head, it has to rotate about 4 turns before it reaches the rotor. The alan head is not stripped because I can tighten it with no effort or slipping. As in the gear...

    E-brake issues

I have had to tighten the caliper (with the hex head wrench) roughly 6-10 times so far. I believe it is the piston not staying in place. If this is the case, any ideas on how to "fix it"?

    E-brake issues

I have a weird e-brake problem on my 2001 Protege MP3. I had my front and rear brake calipers powdercoated last year, and since I reinstalled them, about once every 2-3 months I will have to re-tighten my e-brake on the rear passenger side because it will start slipping. Has anyone ever heard...

    trans oil change help

I just had to do a motor swap on my MP3, and had to do exactly what B1GHAM explained. But what I would recommend doing (there is also a write up on this on the board some where) is using 2 bottles of synchromesh and one bottle of Lucas heavy duty oil stabilizer when filling the tranny back...

    Slowly Coming upon 100k miles

Iridiums are better than platinums and you wouldnt notice a difference at low RPMs. Pony up and get Iridiums and not have to worry about dealing with your spark plugs for 50-100k miles.

WTB- 1 Locking lug nut for 01 Protege

I have the stock mazda ones with they key, it's what came on my car. My understanding is that all of the mazda locking lug nuts were the same. I even called the dealership and they said the same thing. Even when I purchased a replacement wheel lock key, the dealership ordered it in, and never...
