Thanks, she has a bad habit of backing out of the garage before the door is all the way up. I am starting to think the connector on that ebay antenna base is a BNC connection, I found a BNC --> Motorola adapter at RadioShack that I will try tonight.

The wife snapped off the OEM antenna leaving a chunk of the connector stuck in the antenna base, I could not for the life of me get it out. I stupidly bought this cheapo antenna base before I realized that it doesn't have the same connection as the OEM one, it looks like it's coax...
