I've seen a lot of folks do krylon type stuff and I don't think it's worth it. It'll look really good if it's done by a real paint gun and real automotive paint. Don't forget to primer!

hope it comes out ok. you might wanna hit up your local high-end stereo shop to see if anybody there does CF work. Might fit better than a cardboard template, but that's just a speculation.

^^that's a fair argument, just a conclusion i made based on the steps he took. hawk pads are real nice, should give those a try. noisy as hell, though.

no matter how much you fill it, make sure you check the level if it's got a stick.
