I have a smiliar problem, except mine does not actually leak oil as i do not have to top up engine oil, but after my engine is warm it starts to smoke a lot. The smoke smells like oil burning. mech told me that is becuz of worn valve seals.
I need to change my valve seals as my car is smoking on idle, after the car has warmed up. Does any body knows whether the valve seals of the miata b6 engine will fit a 1.6zm head? Or any alternatives i am looking for performance seals?
I do not dare to ran more than 9.5 psi, i am using 92 fuel and besides my car have never been running right since i went boost.
I dunno how many psi will the motor take.
I tried to lower the boost but to no avail. I do not think its the FIC as when i swapped coils it worked fine so I ordered new coils but it went bad after a short while.
9.5 psi or 0.7 bar. I have never been able to really get the car to drive right for over a year, its been problem after problem.
First it was the wiring on the AEM connectors then ignition.
I am using AEM FIC for management, I dunno how the plugs are gapped i am using ZFR6F NGK and did not gapped them. I am pretty sure its ignition related as when I swapped the coils for new ones the misfire went away for a few days then came back again.
What would cause ignition coils to fail. I just replaced mine and within a week it would seem that they failed again, I get a misfire around 3100 rpm till 4000 rpm just before I hit full boost.
Then the car pulls till redline.
