Replacement Key Fob for 2020 CX-5?

I bought a fob from keylessentryremotefob.com for under $90. It seemed to be slightly used, but considering the price I am not complaining. Small scratch on one side. I paid a locksmith $160 to program and it is now working fine as well as the original I already had. Quite a bit less than the...

Replacement Key Fob for 2020 CX-5?

I agree. When the fob stopped working with a 2025 installed and I pulled the battery and put it right back in the Fob would start working again. The 2032 has a longer contact section and fits tighter in the Fob. Since I bought the car slightly used, the previous owner might have replaced the...

Replacement Key Fob for 2020 CX-5?

So far the larger 2032 battery has eliminated the loss of power to the fob. It was losing power every day for a few days with the 2025. I will update this thread if anything changes.

Replacement Key Fob for 2020 CX-5?

I cleaned the contacts, along with bending the contact prongs a little and although the 2025 that I had in the fob was new I replaced it with a 2032. Will try it and see if the problem reoccurs. Here's the quote on new fob from local Mazda dealer : "Parts quoted the FOB as $203.46 plus tax...

Replacement Key Fob for 2020 CX-5?

Thanks, Just today I cleaned the contacts and gave them a little bend upwards to improve the contact. Still not sure why it goes dead at this point and with temps in the -20 area I am looking to avoid getting locked out. Should have a second fob anyway. The broker I bought the car from is...

Replacement Key Fob for 2020 CX-5?

I bought my CX5 slightly used and it was missing one key fob. Now the one I have intermittently stops working. Replaced the battery, but it still goes dead until I pull the battery and then put it back in. At least that is what it seems like is happening. I know they have to be programmed, but...

LED Light, HBC and ALH warning with 2020 CX-5 Signature

Thanks for the response. The weather is warming up here and will continue to monitor the warning light situation. It kind of irks me that the car seems to have as mentioned a series of issues. There were older CX 5s with cold weather issues with the auto tracking lights in this forum, but as...

LED Light, HBC and ALH warning with 2020 CX-5 Signature

I have had a few issues with my CX 5 over the last year or so. Replaced the drivers side mirror motor, The rear door motor and most recently the cylinder head. I am getting used to heading to the dealer. Luckily all have been under warranty. Since I now have 42000 miles I am concerned about...

2.5 NA Cracked Cylinder Head with Oil leaking...How common is this?

Yes, in my case the compression was 40 pounds lower in cylinder 3 than in the other cylinders. That would seem to indicate the valve(s) was/were leaking enough to cause a misfire as indicated by the P303 check engine light. The TSB suggested the issue they were describing would not cause any...

2.5 NA Cracked Cylinder Head with Oil leaking...How common is this?

My situation seems a little out of whack with the Tsb. Certainly the techs at the dealership were not looking at the cylinder head as an issue when I came in with the P303 code on a check engine light showing a misfire on cylinder 3. The other code DTC 111a mentioned in the Tsb was more...

2.5 NA Cracked Cylinder Head with Oil leaking...How common is this?

So both the Turbo 2.5 and the NA 2.5 have cylinder head issues with different TSBs associated with them. Not surprisingly both engines have significantly different designs for the cylinder head and manifold. The cylinder deativation (not on the Turbo version) would seem to be causing the issue...

2.5 NA Cracked Cylinder Head with Oil leaking...How common is this?

The manifold is definitely different on the turbo. This is a video describing the technology Mazda is using with the Turbo 2.5 Skyactiv G engine. Mazda CX9 4-Cylinder Turbo Engine Explained They pair the exhaust manifold pipes and firing order in such way to help draw more exhaust out faster...

2.5 NA Cracked Cylinder Head with Oil leaking...How common is this?

This is a turbo related issue, but I just have a cursory understanding of the problem. . The exhaust manifold is different with the Turbo. I don't believe there has been any sort of recall on the CX5.

2.5 NA Cracked Cylinder Head with Oil leaking...How common is this?

I did confirm my vin number was in the range of vehicles with the suspect design which were built before June 9th 2020. They did replace the exhaust manifold as well as the cylinder head. I watched a couple of videos describing how Mazda was in the initial skyactiv G turbo design routing the...

2.5 NA Cracked Cylinder Head with Oil leaking...How common is this?

Got the car back. They noted 118 pounds in 1,2 and 4 cylinders and 80 pounds of compression on Cylinder three. They also noted it was the exhaust valve that wasn't working properly. Would be interesting to know why it failed, but must have been defective as per the TSBs . The car idles MUCH...
