    Exactly!!

    Inlet pipe

yeah because the bent up, odd shaped OEM TIP was such a good design! I couldn't believe what it looked like when I took it out. Like someone in their garage made it up out of some old auto AC ducting or something(uhm)

    Inlet pipe

I tried that with mine, just completely broke the back nipple off the WG sol then drilled out the end and put everything back together. Trouble is, my WGDC was all over the map afterward, so I thought the orifice size was critical and the drill job was just not precise enough. Bought a new WG...

    Inlet pipe

yes but if you go MBC tuning boost with an AP becomes more complicated, right? The ECU is no longer controlling the WG so the Boost tables would become useless. Then if you start changing the Load tables to get higher values, again the ECU can't control WG so what happens then?? my .02

    AP Boost and Gauge Boost

not at all, that flash is there until you change or remove it with the AP.

    AP Boost and Gauge Boost

probably because you are trying to keep the wheel straight from all the torque steer and wheel spin ;-) but serously if you are -22 at idle you shouldn't have any leaks. If your AP is showing 2 PSI more than the guage, it's just the guage's sending unit that is off more than likely [my...

    AP Boost and Gauge Boost

Good insight and I certainly agree with both you and MSMS3 from a philosophical standpoint covering the inaccuracies of modern engine management sensors. If it were a perfect world we would replace all of Mazdas sensors and maybe even ECU but practically speaking this isnt possible for the...

    AP Boost and Gauge Boost

Well actually I believe we agree on both technical points. It was the over use of sarcasm in your responce that I took issue with. I certainly encourage you to continue to assist this community with your technical knowledge.

    Decipher this log please!

ha! thanks! I am just having big spikes +10 or so STFT at a couple of different voltages and thought it might be some sort of leak somewhere. I have a MSCAI2 and have already calibrated my MAF tables upward about 8% through the entire curve, matching the learned LTFT + STFT values of course...

    AP Boost and Gauge Boost

Breaking news!! First off, I will assume you were kidding and this is all fun, but let the drama begin! You might want to take a deep breath…seriously! Did my other post about the Forge sound get you worked up?? I don’t see how… maybe it’s just your personality or your having a bad start...

    AP Boost and Gauge Boost

Agreed not less accurate just different. If you want to be more scientific about it get three different inputs gauge/DH/AP and average the results. If you care (lol2) Personally I go off the AP [or DH if thats what you are running] because they are getting their boost readings from the ECU...

    Fiber Images CF hood

I guess the secret is out now....sorry about that :D And yeah I knew it wasn't yours and I don't like it but to each his own for sure. In the pics you posted the hood is red CF and the grill is just black CF...come on get it together or don't do it at all. Not hating anyone for the choices...

    Decipher this log please!

Thanks Matsuda, Do you have any thoughts about my STFT at idle changing so much?? It is very cold here, for AR round 20 could that be causing the variances?

    COBB ATR Discussion thread

interesting point. so when the ignition is being cut by the limiter, fuel is still being injected and pushed out to the cats?? Makes perfect since.

    Calibrating the MAF For Dummies?

Its in the ATR help file on how do perform a MAF calibration, but the short story is your LTFT for the most part, and your STFT will tell you how far off your MAF cal is. Basically, reset your ECU, drive at moderate throttle, no WOT for around 50 miles. Then log your LTFT and STFT values while...
