Interesting to me as I had the exact same issue at 4000 miles and Mazda decided to replace my transmission. Happened again 2000 miles later but this time it was the 'sensors needed reset'.
The dealer had me call mazda customer service and they started a file on the problem, this all was part of their 'high alert'. They said they would be in touch but never heard from them, hence the question as to why no follow up with me. Hopefully new transmission is the fix it needed.

The transmission arrived and I will update in 3 or 4 days. The dealership has been great but mazda customer service came across like I should be grateful that its being repaired at no charge to me!
