675? How do you pin that to the road? You running a stock tranny? What about suspension/tires. I would think this thing would eat lesser tires.

I don't have an answer for you more than whats posted. But if youcan't get help here, try a Ford Forum. The Escape is essentially the same vehicle as the Tribute and someone there may have experienced the same problem. Blueovalnews.com used to have a forum like this. Just a thought.
