Your title is comparing CX-5 Non Turbo and Turbo filter so not sure why you brought a CX-9 into this discussion? I'm guessing because you are assuming the same non-turbo engines from two different models have the same intake. They do not. If you look on the WIX website, the filters are...
Any word on results on the Microfinish 2-coat? Someone (maybe I'll do it) needs to buy like the factory pen, Dr. Colorchip, and Microfinish and do a comparison and take photos.
Based on other threads it appears Dr. Colorchip is the best way to go. When you select the color on their website they warn you that because the Soul Red is a 3-coat paint (base, pearl, tinted clear) it won't match perfectly. This is not a color you want to have to have a body shop paint due...
I've had PPF done before on more expensive cars. It's pricey these days. I actually ordered the PPF for the front hood on this CX-5 and screwed up during the install and just said f*ck it, I'll live with the chips. I bought a hood deflector that bolts on in about 5 minutes for road trips to...
Makes sense. I'm wondering if there's a way I can order the paint but in small quantity just like the certified shops. The application is probably more problematic than that touch-up kit where you smear and then wipe off the excess. That apparently is the best touch up option and comes close...
My 2021 had a recall notice that was vague but something about the battery. I figured I'll have it done on the next oil change which wasn't for another 5 or 6 months. Never had an issue until low and behold the day before taking it to the dealer for the oil change and recall the battery was...
I see other's driving CX-5's and think, there's another wise person. Then I look and see someone driving the same class SUV but a Jaguar (F-PACE) and think, there's a dumb person (with their money.) If you're so concerned at standing out from the crowd, just go be one of the dumb people and...
Have a 21 CX-5 Soul Crystal Red. Only 9K on it. Garaged and obviously not driven that much. Live in the NW so no sanded roads for 90% of the winter, no desert dust storms, few long road trips. Have a 4-5 small chips I was going to touch up and read threads on this. Seems like more chips given...
Bump. Trying to get opinions from anyone that tried more than once touch up kit for Soul Crystal Red (46V) to see if one matches better than the other. Due to the 3-layer process unique to the Red (and white) it seems no kit will match perfectly mainly due to the last tinted clear coat...
I've heard this multiple times which is surprising as you'd expect the OEM paint pen to have the best color match. Or is it crap more from the application and how seamlessly it fills the chip but has color match just as good as Dr. Colorchip? It seems the only way to get the best match would...
Ugh, I bought a Soul Crystal Red 2021 CX5 GTS as I LOVED the color (the dark blue on my 2019 was nice too but decided I wanted something with more pizazz). Now reading posts about this paint while looking fantastic is not very "tough" so have to mentally prepare myself for lots of chips to deal...
This interesting thread found its way into my Google search results. I bought both CX-5 GT and now a few days ago got a '21 CX-5 GTR. My prior car was an Acura MDX. As with Lexus and Infiniti and other "luxury" brands - you're paying a brand premium. Making comparisons in specs and features...
Not entirely correct. The benefit of the higher octane fuel starts at 4000 RPM for BOTH HP and Torque. According to this graph, the engine performes the same below 4000 RPM despite what octane fuel you are running. The torque just rolls off more gradually after 4000 RPM.
Update: I think you...
