I've had good dealings with Mazda of Lodi. I bought my car there even though i live in Danbury CT (its far). Granted - i went there knowing what i wanted, but the salesman was actually enjoyable compared to some of the other salespeople i've met.

My light went off on its own, came back on again shortly after. Spoke with my dealer from Lodi, NJ, they told me that Mazda is aware of the situation and is manufacturing a better gas cap with a tighter seal. Once this is replaced, it will resolve the issue. ....

CEL - welcome back... Light came back.. had it once at 1k.. its back now that im at 11k.

That sucks.... i decided against the NAV system last minute, so i guess I lucked out.. but im curious as to what limited stuff will be displayed on the dash.... Should be interesting.

but does this mean that the CX-7 is already capable of this expansion, or is this something that will be added to the later models?

you better believe im going to be tightening the sh*t out of it every time now. We'll see if this happens again or leads to something else. The guy mentioned something about "techline" - I guess they make the cap or the gas system... not sure. I imagine we will hear more about this as more...

The verdict: Same as the others. Gross Evap Leak, Engine code P0455. "tightened fuel cap". Cant be serious! I think i know how to tighten a fuel cap. Regardless, we will see if this causes indigestion for the life of the car. The worst part was that they made me wait almost 2 hours...

Guess what just happened to me after 900 miles.... Yep, Check Engine light. Cant image its a loose gas cap, i had the light when i got in my car, drove to get gas, filled up the tank, and tightened the cap... light is still on.

I actually had a penominal deal set up on a CX7 sport with the tech package, but the guy couldnt find the car. They had told me 4 to maybe 8 weeks, which I was cool with, so I put down a deposit. Next day, they called me and told me 16 weeks, and the manager actually had the nerve to tell me...

I concur on all accounts.. the A/C isn't the coldest... in NY when it hit 100 early this week i was sweating for 20min. I found that if you close the passenger vents (assuming you are flying solo) it distributes to the driver better. My car actually doesnt smell... it has 400 miles on it.

Anyone get this to work in a CX7 yet? Im wasting away without my IPOD. I am forced to listen to... CDs??
