well got alternator out and had to remove radiator to get the alternator out , I obtained a new gear shifter (used) and after installing shifter engine was attempting to turn but would stop ,so I found out why the alternator was jammed and also the tensioner was sticking . Engine still wont turn...

for all this it worth ,I have had some experience with throttle cleaning . to me it looks like there is a little build up of carbon on the throttle opening ,all you need to do is wipe it with a solution for throttle body's . I use one that is used for mapp maff sensor's not sure if theres one...

The part on the valve cover, it’s on left side of cover in front of rad, it’s a round shape just to the left of last spark plug connector. Anyone know what it's for? Thanks!

Hi, Im trying to turn motor by hand ,I need to unhook the alternator belt ,anyone know how to do this ,thanks unhooked alternator belt and found that alternator was seized , wonderful explains why engine didn't turn over. Prior to unhooking the alternator belt had to remove the belt tensioner...

Can anyone describe what the interlock cable on the shift mechanism for the transmission is used for, I know its some sort of safety mechanism for the transmission,a tow truck driver broke mine now my car wont turn over ,does it stop engine from turning over ,the starter wont turn . ,thanks

still no go , I took out starter and bench tested it seems ok , put it back in car and tried to jump it by hooking directly to battery but wouldn't turn over in car so have to do something different .I couldn't make it turn over like when it was out of car. I took the plenium off again .I'm...

I mentioned earlier that there's a problem with the gear mechanism, there's a broken mechanism on the cable connected to the shifter on left side anyone know what that (cable) is for also notice that there's another cable on right side ,I believe it goes to the tranny to change gear can anyone...

I think I have found the correct relay for the starter but not sure which pins to jump once I pull the relay ,I saw someone on youtube do it with another car but his relay was somewhat different than the one that is in the CX9. I f anyone can help me it would be wonderful . Meantime will try...

Thank you Rowlands57, will try to jump starter with relay ,found the fuse box theres two boxes under hood right next to each other ,its the one on the right facing the engine . Just have to find out how to jump it with a wire jumper .
