I wish I could turn off cylinder deactivation

Glad that I don’t have the stop/start or cylinder deactivation in my 2019 Signature, but I do have CD in our ‘19 Vette. Luckily we’re able to install a Range device (Range Technologies) in that car to prevent the CD from functioning. Question…in the ‘vette we can also stop the CD from working...

Anyone have an easy way to do your own tire rotation?

I use my Quickjack and a Dewalt impact gun. It takes me about 30 minutes from start to finish.

    Rooftop Tent for CX-5?

No, I’ve not tried that, but I’m in the camp that doesn’t believe the factory crossbars would hold up to the weight of the tent/shell combo and adult weights. I’d save ~$2,700 by buying a $100 tent and using that.

2017~2024 New Michelin Pilot Sport All Season 4’s going on soon…

Okay, I have just over 2k miles on these tires now. And…I’m a little disappointed. Yes, the tires are quiet. Yes, the tires grip very well on dry and wet pavement. Yes, they handle grooved and uneven roads well. However, the turn-in is…imo, not up to Michelin standards. And certainly not what I...

    What's the tire consensus?

Interesting…but certainly not my experience. I’m in central Florida and have never had any problems with any of the Michelin tires I’ve run for 25+ years. This includes tires on vehicles that stay outside all year as well as the garaged ones. I’ve put Michelins on every car we have/had…with one...

Tire upgrade options for 2022 CX-5 Signature

I posted this very same question when I bought my 19 CX-5 new. I had always run premium brand tires (Michelin, Conti, etc.) and really had no desire to run a Toyo. After a lot of self-debate, I ended up just leaving the Toyo A36s on the car because I knew I was going to be putting about 12k...

'19 Signature shudder just after stopping from highway speeds

Sorry I can’t help...but will add another datapoint. My 2019 Sig w/1,900 miles has never demonstrated that behavior. Hope you get it sorted out soon.

    Hitch vibration issues

I just installed a Draw-Tite. Absolutely no vibration. Just make sure to lube the muffler hangar points and make sure they are completely seated into the rubber hangars.

    Anyone bought/used a Car Cover?

What, it rains in Central Florida?!? LOL. Thanks for your post. Yeah, I wouldn’t use a cover for everyday rain...just thinking more about the possibility of our hailstorms and ‘canes.

    Anyone bought/used a Car Cover?

Thank you for sharing your experience with the Noah cover.

What have you done to your CX-5 today?

That’s great about your dealer-installed hitch, I have seen pictures of others that didn’t turn out so good. Hey, I understand about the cargo carrier. We have a place in SC that requires we take our trash to a drop-off center as well. I know Reese makes good products, but I think I’m going to...

What have you done to your CX-5 today?

AD...I went with the Draw-tite class III hitch. I evaluated the OEM option, but in the end, I wanted something stronger and I did not want to cut up my rear bumper. My receiver/hitch will be used mostly for a bike carrier but will see a small trailer once, maybe twice, a year.

What have you done to your CX-5 today?

Sorry no pics, but I promise it happened! If you go to the “etrailer.com” website they have pics and installation videos of both the draw-tite and curt receivers mounted on CX-5s. Their video comparing the two was helpful for me in deciding which to buy. Note to Mods...I apologize if this...

Installed a Draw-Tite trailer hitch/receiver today. A very nice product and only took about 35 minutes to install.

Roof Rack ( canoes and yaks )

OP...I used the Malone Stax Pro2 Kayak racks for carrying two 12’ kayaks on my GTI factory crossbars. They worked great, but you do have to mount the boats on their side. Might be worth checking out when you need to carry two yaks.
