My theory is that they disabled it to prevent the Ghost Touch problem. My 2019 needed the fix and they covered it although my warranty was beyond 3 years. Since the 2024 now has it, I am guessing they fixed the root cause.

This sounds right. You may also hear the same thing after an emissions error code was reset or the battery was disconnected. The testing machines require the car to be run to allow the computer to show emission test to be run. This could be up to a hundred miles or so.

In my 2019, I had the Ghost Screen issue and my dealer applied the TSB which replaced the screen. I never touched it and only used a microfiber to clean off the glass. The clarity of the screen was always perfect and still is. I don’t trust cleaners.
