Guide 2nd Generation CX-9: Dashcam installation

I have to give another shout-out to Cary at invisicord.com. My original invisicord micro-USB became loose in my dashcam and I sent the cord back to him. He shipped me a new cord, free of charge (under warranty), which works great. Well worth the investment.

2016~2023 Battery drain in 2020 Mazdas

I've noticed that since COVID hit, and I'm working from home, rarely driving, my starts, especially in cold weather, are a little labored. Wondering if it's worth putting a slow trickle charger on the car for an hour a day when I'm not driving for weeks at a time(?).

New CX-9, All Good...Except the seats

I'd like to see that too. Can you post a picture? Walmart has a ton of seat cushions which return from a search.

Guide 2nd Generation CX-9: Bose subwoofer improvement

Revisiting this. I still get a very powerful bass response, even at lower settings. It's not boomy, but it's fairly strong even at 1 or 2 setting. Has anyone swapped out a different sub-woofer for the Bose? Wondering if a higher-quality speaker would make a difference (or not!)... Thanks.

Poll CX-9 Folding Cargo Tray: OEM vs Husky vs ?

Totally agree with everything you said. I also purchased the Maxpider rear tray and have been very happy with it. Excellent price point and I also keep my 3rd row down 99.99999% of the time. It repels liquids well and is very easy to clean. Looks great too.

    2016 CX-9 Crossbars Install

I installed the Mazda crossbars today. Double checked the side (L/R) and front/rear markings on the crossbars. Using the tool that came with the crossbars, it took about 30 minutes. Be sure to lay down a rag on the car while you're tightening the bolts or you'll scratch the paint. This is...

Guide 2nd Generation CX-9: Dashcam installation

Finally bit the bullet and bought an Invisicord for my dashcam. (And subsequently screwed up on the USB size. Cary at Invisicord was great: I sent the cord back and had my new one in under a week). If you want a really simple way to pull power from your mirror that take like 60 seconds to...

What did you pay for your CX-9?

See this discussion: https://www.mazdas247.com/forum/index.php?threads/2019-signature-vs-2018-gt-driving-impressions-dealer-loaner-car.123870728/ I noticed a driving 'experience' between my '18 GT and the '19 Sig. that the dealer gave me as a loaner. Steering felt much better in the '19...

Scripting iOS 'Shortcuts' App for CarPlay

I found this article a couple weeks ago and verified that this does work. Note: You must have the iOS 13 version of Shortcuts to see the "Automations" option. Older versions of iOS Shortcuts will not have this option, sadly...

2020 CX-9 Big brake upgrade (similar to Brembo)

There may be an alternative way to get better braking for relatively cheap: On my older MDX, I replaced the stock rubber brake hoses, from the metal lines to the caliper, with metal-braided lines. They do not expand as much as the rubber hydraulic lines and give a much stiffer pedal. With...

Wiper Blades not made for a 2018 CX5?

Chiming-in from the CX-9 side of the forums. I searched in vain for replacement wiper blades on Amazon and ended up just going to my local dealer. $10 each for the blades. Took about 60 seconds to install.
