Anyone know where someone might go at this point to get some 15inchers for a P5. I've called abotu a dozen different places all over MA and NH and everyone is sold out. ALl they have is 16's left and then I'm stuck going with a 205 instead of the 195 width. Not to mention the extra $100 plus...

Where did you get yours? You're talking about the Alpin's right? I thought almost $1000 sounded like a lot. What size tire did you go with on the 15" rims?

Actually the Alpins are pricing out at about $50 more than the Hakkas for the full vehicle. $900 for Hakkas on 16" steel rims and $950 for the Alpins on the same rims. Both prices were from the same dealer and included balancing and installation.

That's what I thought. I'm going to call a few other people today and see if I they can confirm or deny what that guy told me. I was pretty convinced he was bs-ing me. Maybe Mazda trains them to say that so they don't get sued.

Stepping back for a minute... You folks that are running the 15" steel rims. Why did you go with the 15 instead of the 16? In general what is the advantage of running a smaller wheel with a higher aspect ratio on snow tires?

That's what I thought. So what tire specs should I shoot for if I run a 15" rim? Sorry to be such a rookie on this stuff.

Update ... So I talked to a guy at this tire shop near me. I was getting a price for a set of 15" steel rims with Hakka Q's. He said I shouldn't put 15" rims on the Pro 5 because it screws up the computer. Is this legit? I thought in general it was better to go with a smaller rim so you get...
