I actually wouldn't want to turn off the DRL's but to have them left on permanently, and not toggled off/on with the handbrake. As Jonno says, no-one else does this, and I can see no reason to have them off whilst stationary. No DRL has ever blinded me. It is surely more dangerous to have your...

How many Brits? Fancy a cuppa?

I have had a very similar incident a couple of times, due to an unusual T junction on my commute. A slight incline requiring handbrake release at the point of marginally ambiguous priority. I believe a few drivers have taken my DRL-on as a signal of some sort. No other manufacturer that I know...

What sort of system is this Gareth45? I'd be interested in fitting something like that. Also, should you name and shame the dealer that treats your new car like that? I wouldn't want to take my car there!

You would be right! Thanks. I tried my usual suspects, etyres, blackcircles, tyredrive etc. and nothing on any of them. Not used mytyres before - thanks for the tip!

Not that I need any yet - but just had a browse to check tyre prices. I'm on the standard 19's, and can't find any 225/55/19 tyres in stock anywhere (not tried Mazda dealer). Anyone had issues replacing a damaged tyre, or done enough miles to replace a set yet?

I have experienced a different issue on the same topic: I used to be able to download messages to the console from my galaxy S4, but recently its stopped working. The 'new message, download/later' pop-up appears on the console, and I select to download message, then it pauses and while, then...

Same here - its perfect. But not cheap to buy the seat and isofix base for an occasional use.

This is what happens on my test this morning. It clears a small patch in the middle bottom area of the window very quickly, then seems to achieve nothing for the next 2 minutes. I'm gonna have a good go with some glass cleaner and see if that helps. I felt around for damp patches in car etc...

How many Brits? Fancy a cuppa?

I have noticed the windscreen is pretty poor at demisting on the icy mornings. Engine runs so cold that it takes ages to clear automatically, so I'm resorting to using a cloth to clear the windscreen, which I would normally never do, but my patience has worn too thin. Not aware of wet carpet...

Thanks for the info. Thats pretty much the response I got from the dealer "they're meant to do that". It is a shame really. (shrug)

I too would like this option. I think its a little annoying for other drivers to see my DRL LEDs turn off every time I pull up at a junction and apply the handbrake, then flash back on when I release to pull away. Surely that's more distracting that permanently on!

How many Brits? Fancy a cuppa?

I have been looking for a while now for something suitable for mounting my mobile (Galaxy S4) to the CX5. I saw this Brodit mount but was a little concerned about it being mounted to the A pillar where I believe some airbags are sitting tight ready to explode my phone into my face at the first...

Well spotted. Sounds promising! But will it work? (nailbyt)

It shows those symbols on mine once when it first connects, then thats the last I see of them. If I'm in the car without my phone bluetooth on, I don't think I see them at all - or maybe just once. Sounds like its constantly connecting/dropping, or polling and not authenticating properly...
