I just went over to the Dark side. I traded my son's MSP for an 05 WRX STi. It was great fun while it lasted and he still loves the MSP but them's the grits! So long for now maybe I'll see some of you over on the Dark side. P.S. His WRX is FaSSST!

I don't have extra boost, my problem is it will not boost to stock 6.9psi levels and only maintains 6psi for 500-1000rpm before it falls to a steady 5psi from 4500 on.

It definitely is not fuel cut, I have felt that before at around 7000rpm in 3rd gear. This is much more subtle but still noticeable. How do I get the boost levels back to the 6.9 psi range? I think this may actually help the surging if it is caused by an overly rich condition the extra boost...

I just had my MSP's turbo and exhaust manifold replaced under warranty. It now only will boost to around 6psi max between 3500 -4500 rpm then falls back to 5psi till redline. It also has developed a surge under acceleration, especially in 3rd gear from around 2500rpm up. It seems to surge around...

I just got my MSP back from the dealer after replacing the exhaust manifold and the turbo. The car now surges noticeably when accelerating, especially in third gear from around 2800 rpm on up. It surges several times not just once the turbo spools . The clutch is not slipping. Any thoughts...

The MSP is bone stock. When I say the IC is full of oil, I mean FULL of oil! How do you figure the replacement turbo will outlast the engine since this one only made it 6000 miles? The warranty work may be free but the dealer is over 120 miles away which means a loss of some work time to arrange...

Thanks for all the suggestions. I was looking for smaller wheels because we have a high performance driving event at VIR in June. The smaller diameter wheels should save me about 30 pounds in unsprung weight and shorten the final drive ratio giving me a little better acceleration.

I am looking for some really lightweight 15" x 7" wheels for my MSP. Any suggestions? I also need to keep the offset as close as possible.
