2lb battery / base model / lighter seats. With my new CAI and rear bar, I have probably put on a few pounds but a lighter exhaust setup should bring me back down again. BTW my battery finally died after 20k of daily driving.

Rick? How goes? Didn't know you were on here. From what I've read and results I've seen the RE71 seems to be the tires to have in the dry. However, as you know I'm more interested in the wet & cold performance and the slush series. The cost and wear on the re-71 don't scare me but I would...

Getting back into autocross after some time and a few updates: -Injen CAI installed / can't feel much of a difference in power or throttle response but sure it doesn't hurt either -Tri point bar replaced with racing beat due to rule changes / the rear feels stiffer and more tri-poding -My 2lb...

Thanks! I was actually slower than my co-driver and need to work on my driving... thinking of getting a solo-storm software to help me get through my plateau. My co-driver was driving the car for the second time and he did great... proving that my setup is not too far off. He got a hang of it by...

    Sparco Seat Base

I thought about it but then I had a mental image of the resistor being knocked out of the socket during an accident... call me paranoid (shrug).

    Sparco Seat Base

There are three sensors you need to worry about. If you are keeping the OEM seat belt, just reconnect after you install. The seat position sensor can also be detached from the seat and connected (I used a zap strap and just left it under the seat). For the seat side airbag I just cut the cable...

    Sparco Seat Base

Finished installing my OMP ARS seats using the planted seat base and with no sliders (driver side only) yesterday. The brackets were very easy to work with and felt solid... a bit too heavy IMHO. Seats and steel side mounts were 25lb and the seat base was 8lb, that makes it a 3lb weight saving...

Just went up in rear spring rates by 50lb for the summer. Also to my surprise my rear springs were installed loosely and I could just pull them off on the jackstand without dropping the axle... this explains the hopping I was experiencing before LOL. Unfortunately this means I'm just a bit...

I'm sure if you don't have any other torsion bar this would be an effective way to strengthen the rear bar and cheap too but I think with the tri-point it was redundant for me. It might come in handy again if I decide to remove the tripoint to go lower a bit (at the moment I don't have enough...

    Packwood Championship Tour / Pro-solo

Anyone going? I'm pretty sure I'll be there for CT... probably not for pro-solo.

Quick updates: -Took off the bar above... didn't feel any difference to justify the added weight (this is with the tripoint bar still in place) -2.4lb battery installed -Going with higher spring rates in the rear for the summer (350=>400) -Driver side fixed back seats will go in once I receive...

    Blytheville ProSolo

Been to national tour a couple of times... will most likely go again this year... hard to justify a 10 day stay for prosolo though.

Nice! No prosolo in my region but I'll do the Packwood prosolo one of these years!
