    CX-5 Fuel economy

I am also envious... and I've even tried the super conservative grandma driving approach as well. My commute is also short, about 10 mins with mostly highway driving, still can't achieve city MPG. I took mine into Mazda and they told me everything was fine. Hoping when Spring gets here, I see...

    Interior Illumination

I am not sure what the deal was when I answered last, but this time I opened the hatch and the front overhead lights didn't go on, just the hatch lights on the sides. Figured I'd mention... most likely, your interior lights are normal. As for the 1 lit up door button thing... I'm a bit annoyed...

    CX-5 Fuel economy

Most definitely not... but I'd go for the FWD which is stated to have comparable MPG rating. If I'm going to be getting this kind of mileage, at least it would have some more balls.

    Interior Illumination

No problem! I love how when people at dealerships dont know something, they just automatically go with "I think it's supposed to be like that." Speaking of interior illumination, at night do all the buttons on your doors light up? The only one that lights up in mine is the driver side window...

Actually, I stand corrected! I double checked this morning and noticed that when I open the rear gate, all map lights turn on.

I've never noticed my map lights go on when opening the rear gate. They are usually separate from what I've seen in cars I've owned; passenger doors turn on interior lights, or back gate turns on the trunk lights.

Let's hope... so far I'm not so impressed, which to me means they marketed this car really well. I will probably take it into the dealer anyway to make sure nothing funky is going on. It's making me contemplate a trade in for a 2014 FWD 2.5L.

    CX-5 Fuel economy

To be honest, I drive with that exact same common sense driving. I am wondering if there is something screwy with my particular CX-5, because it doesn't make sense for winter fuel additives and temperature to affect the fuel economy this much. My commute is basically 2 minute back roads, 5ish...

    CX-5 Fuel economy

Thanks, I am starting to see how much you really have to feather-touch the throttle. I think I'm mostly disappointed because I didn't think I'd have to basically drive like I'm hypermiling to get the EPA estimates. During highway driving, it's very hard to touch the pedal light enough to get a...

    CX-5 Fuel economy

New to the forums... so, whats up guys! This is my first Mazda, have had it for about 2k miles (AWD GT). I'm having the same issues with pretty pathetic fuel economy compared to what I expected. I'm coming from a '06 Acura TSX MT, and so far that car would dump on this CX-5's real world MPG...
