Oh, I'm sure there was no damage or anything like that. Just clarifying that it isn't a 'friendly' light like the TCS light is, but rather an indication that you are pushing the limits.
Spectacular part of the world you live in, BTW. I came to Colorado in 2011 for a conference, and drove from...
If you read your manual, when that light comes on the AWD system is basically screaming for you to ease up. Not something you actually want to replicate.
Mine does that, but a fuse pull is not required, just an engine turn off and restart.
The dealer is hopeless, couldn't understand the problem (they think everybody is an idiot who doesn't know how to connect their Bluetooth), and couldn't replicate it.
My 2014 is in the grey, and I wouldn't change it for anything else...... there is something about the way the red contrasts with the black plastic trim under the doors and around the arches that I just don't like.
On a 3 or 6 though, where they don't have the plastic trim under the doors, I'd...
Winnipeg was a skating rink yesterday after some very light dusty snow compacted down into sheet ice.
Even with AWD I was sliding round all over the place - I wouldn't have gone driving in a 2WD yesterday for love nor money.
My overall economy last year was 11.7 L/100km, or 20MPG. It is a combination of very cold winter temperatures, city driving, snow driving, short trips, and unbridled use of the remote started and gas pedal.
I haven't driven the new 6. But when I the test drive the CX-5, it handled better than the 2013 Ford Fusion rental that I drove to the dealership in. Getting back in the Fusion was a disappointment, which surprised me greatly considering how well regarded the handling on that model was. My only...
Well using a 5W-30 in the cold temperatures you see in northern USA and Canada would be harder on the engine at startup. And yes, the thinner oil is also better for economy.
But none of that means that 0W-20 is worse in hotter regions (hot 0W-20 is the same everywhere). It just means you don't...
If I don't plug in the block heater or remote start the car when it is cold out, it can often take 20 minutes to heat up. Particularly if you aren't giving it a proper run with some continuous driving. Part of it is the thermal efficiency of the engines; there are lots of threads on the board...
Considering you were the one who posted in the first place, with no real-world experience of the CX-5 at all, I look forward to you doing the tests and hearing your results.
