Just had my pads and rotors replaced. OEM Brembo's with Hawk street pads. It appears the pads don't sit flush on rotors. when the brake is applied they gap closes,but not completely. I have only put 400 miles on it since the replacement. Tryn to get back to shop, was not my regular mechanic.(boom02)

it is a 2009 mazda 3i 2.oL

put new rotors and pads on. oem brembos with hawk street pads. the pads don't seem to sit flush though? only 400 miles on new brakes.
