With a P5 I'd say you're better off with a manual. It makes the tiny engine feel a bit zippier. You're less likely to notice that the speedo only reads 45 if you're rowing through the gearbox.

I totally agree with you on this up til 2009. Personally, I think the 2010 looks pretty nice.

Only thing to keep in mind with an Impreza (and all Subarus) is the AWD... depending on the year and mileage on the car, so many more things will need replacing. Especially in the back end. So, unless you can afford a newer Impreza, I'd stay away from them if you're selling the P5 because it's...

For those of you wondering how VT is treating the car:

I ended up going with OEM struts up front. I have yet to do the back ones. I don't want to do anything crazy, seeing as it is very foreseeable that I will be selling this car in a few months.

So all four of my struts are toast. Replaced the front ones yesterday, but I physically do not possess the money for the rear struts... on top of that, the front stabilizer links are gone and so are the rear bushings. I've sunk $600 into the car in the past two months and it wants at least...
