    Potential CX-5 Owner with questions

Why not look for a clean, low mileage 2017? They are pre-CD. Mine was bought new and has been flawless.

HUD does not always open (CX-5 2017)

Yes, on the windshield. I checked the top of the dash but nothing was obstructing the lens. It just wasn’t there. By shutting the car down, it must’ve reset. My sunglasses don’t seem to make any difference at all.

HUD does not always open (CX-5 2017)

Had the HUD disappear once. Looked in the owners manual- no help there. I pulled over, turned the car off. When I re-started it came back and has been OK since.

What are your favorite aspects of your CX-5?

For me, it is all about the excellent quality and reliability. We bought a 2014 CX5 new and liked it a lot. It was very reliable but after 2 years, there seemed to be a lot more road noise, and that bothered us. I had heard about the new ‘18 models coming out with a turbo (that I didn’t want)...

    2017~2024 CX-5 Issues arising after 10k miles

I recently noticed the same noise after a cold start at idle. It goes away above idle. I don‘t hear it if it’s warmed up. 72,000 miles. I figure it’s a small exhaust leak somewhere but I’m not worried about it.

    Fob Locked Inside (2020 CX-5)

I also had this happen once, so I had a (metal) key made so the drivers door can be unlocked manually. I put the key behind the license plate.

    2017~2024 CX-5 Check Engine light code P2610

Thanks for this thread! 2017 CX5 GT here. Got that code last week along with a BSM malfunction light on the dash. Scheduled an appointment with the dealer- they said $139.99 to diagnose EACH code! I bought a new battery Saturday and went for a good long drive yesterday, no codes and all is...

Off Topic Curious what bikes people here have

1975 Honda CB360T survivor. Bought it used in ‘77 with 1200 miles and rode it around with my new bride for fun. Along came kids and life, the bike was relegated to the shed for 20 years. Around 2000 I got it out and put it on the road again (tires, tune up, inspection) but it didn’t run all that...

Received a Mazda Survey About Rotary Engines

My first brand new car was ALMOST a 1979 RX7. I decided to go with a brand that was more mainstream with proven mechanicals (5.0 Mustang GT).

For Sale 2nd Gen CX-5 Accessories

Interested. I have a '17 GT. Does the cargo cover install and function as the OEM model? Would you consider meeting in the Baltimore area? I'm about an hour north.

    Pirelli Scorpian all season tires

I used Scorpion STR-A's on my 2 wheel drive pickup. They were the OEM all-season tires. They were fine in dry and wet but IMO they sucked in even minimal winter conditions. Got stuck once ON FLAT PAVEMENT, and the truck has a limited slip rear! Switched to Yoko Geolanders and felt much more...
