I have a 2017 CX-9 GT here in the UAE, been using it for the last 7 months and absolutely love it. Now, on the safety settings, under smart brake support - the mode is always switched off. Every time i drive, i have to switch it on. Is this normal? - Also - i haven't really seen it function...

So the solution that the mazda guy gave me has worked so far. It is retaining the memory - and no issues happening. But my concern is - if it 'forgets' the seat setting on moving the seat - then whats the memory for anyways?

Well - its clear that the FOB on the CX-9 is not linked to the memory settings on the seat - i have tried this. So technically, you have four settings - Mem1/Mem2 on the seat, and FOB1/FOB2 which are all different from each other. Regarding my problem - i got a call from my service guy...

Well - this has been an issue since day 1 - and the first setting i ever made. So don't think the processor is overloaded or confused.

Just to be clear - on the VW i had 3 memory settings, and i could assign any one to the FOB. Not all 3! - But i would save the same seat position on all three memories - and then assign memory 1 to the FOB. And then forget about it. It is very clear that the CX-9 doesn't follow the same method...

Well - so i experimented a bit - and have figured out that the FOB memory setting is different from the memory setting on the seat - so technically, i can set memory1 on seat to a particular setting, memory 2 to another one - and a completely different setting on the FOB. Memory one and memory...

Well.. i had a VW before, and in that i never had this problem. All 3 memory positions on the seat + FOB would be programmed on the same settings - and the seat did not move. Anyhow - I've tried the fix mentioned by Xeler - but it will take a day or two to know if it works. If it does.. hallelujah!

Okay! - Will try doing this today. And update. Thanks for the tip - hope it works, because it is really getting very irritating saving the seat settings every few days.
