Hesitation - better after flash but still hesitates
Rattle/Clunk in rear - replaced rear suspension links - still rattles
Head Unit has a mind of its own - needs to be re-set all the time (but I am getting very quick at re-programming everything)
Front suspension bushing squeak like crazy when...
I just got my new Blizzaks on 16" steelies. I will let you know how much they improved as soon as I test them in the snow. As far as stock tires go I have had many front wheel drive cars with low profile tires but this car is the worst. They should put a warning on the visor or something...
This will work for all P5, MP3, MSP. I am molding this from scratch and it will take me a few weeks depending on my work schedule but I will get pics as soon as possible. If I get enough people interetsed I will build a very durable mold that I can make many new consoles. If anyone would like...
I am in the process of making a custom fiberglass gauge pod that will replace the stock center console (where the shifter is) and it will house 3 gauges. This unit will cover up the cup holders and ashtray. If anyone is interested let me know so I can make sure that the mold I make can be used...
I don't know if my diff is screwd up or something else is wrong but I have never had a car that sucked SOOOOOOO bad in the snow. I was stopped facing downhill and it would spin the tires even with just barley enough throttle to keep it from stalling. I guess its time for some snow tires - I...
I'm new to turbos but not performance vehicles. I see the benefits of an SRI over a CAI but I was wondering if the temperature output from the turbo would be lower with a CAI as the intake air is cooler. If it is then wouldn't that reduce the work from the intercooler and in turn lowering...
Thanks for the help everyone, It was the pipe connected to the turbo inlet came loose. I installed it again and made sure it is tight. It seems like the pipe for the BOV presses down on the intake pipe. I'm going to install new tubing with some flex in it so it dosen't press down on the pipe.
I had installed my Injen CAI on Sunday with no problems. I drove the car about 300 miles and now the car just sputters and stalls. I have been flashed and everything else is stock. It ran fine with the new intake. It made the usual swooshing sound under boost and the turkey sound when...
You all made good points but I chose these gauges because these would warn of a problem quickly. EGT is usually too late. As far as seeing what is hapening inside the engine I would recommend all tuning be done on a dyno. This will allow you to monitor all sorts of stuff that are crucial to...
If you want a different color instrument cluster check out www.corksport. They offer a blue/green kit with white gauges. I have this with Autometer Ultra-Light with blue light bulb caps and it looks great (not too bright). I will be changing to the C2's when they have electric fuel&oil pressure.
Many of you want simple bolt-on performance, unfortunatly that's not really the best way to go. Before you start cranking up the boost with an inexpensive boost controller you need to make the car more efficient. You already have a CAI so that's good. Next you need to rip off the stock...
